Donkey in Shinjuku....You had to be there!
I saw a REAL monkey yesterday it was the funniest thing in the world...As Mhairi and I were strolling back from Shinjuku Koen [park] towards the station, we passed a couple walking a monkey on a lead.
Totally astonished by the small 'pet' I said out loud to Mhairi, " Is that a Donkey"?!!
After a couple of seconds of silence, while our brains adjusted to the confusion, we couldnt STOP our fits of giggles...even hours later..it kept on making us laugh...
I had mixed "dog" and "monkey" and made "donkey"....and we were so tickled by my words that it totally didn't occur how strange it was to see people walking a baby monkey along a street in Shinjuku!
